CASAA has issued a new call to action. This call is an update to a previous call to awareness ahead of the FDA public hearing on nicotine replacement therapies. That hearing heard testimony from interested parties. The FDA is now accepting written statements through January 16, 2013. The testimony and written statements will then be used by the FDA when they present their report to congress later this year.
Please see the official CASAA call to action for details on what you may want to consider in your written submission to the FDA. As the agency gets closer to proposing regulations for other tobacco products including e-cigarettes, action will be crucial if there is any hope to keep e-cigarettes from being dumbed down to the point of uselessness like the EU is planning.
