Updated (X 2): Vendor Out to Destroy Review Site?

I saw a tweet this morning from a fellow e-cigarette review site mentioning an article where they claim they were threatened by the owner of BullSmoke over a negative review. The site in question, SpinFuel Magazine posted the alleged e-mails from the vendor along with their version of events.

You can read the full article with the e-mail in question here. This is clearly one-sided at this point since it is Spinfuel's article. You can read the Ripoff Report item here which appears to be from the company owner. You can also see Spinfuel's review here. To compare and contrast, here's my own review (which didn't stir up any controversy, but my focus is on more of the hands-on and technical aspects than pricing). Also in the interest of transparency, I am a Bullsmoke affiliate.

Update: Apparently this battle continues into today. Bullsmoke posted to another complaint website, and Spinfuel published more letters.

Final update. It appears that the two companies have kissed and made up with formal apologies and the such posted in all the appropriate places.

Thanks for picking this up Steve. At Spinfuel we pride ourselves on being completely honest and open and we knew we couldn't let Martin Giles get away with all the untrue things he was posting everywhere. Thankfully the real owner of Bull Smoke intervened. After the owner looked over everything that had transpired he understood that the person representing his company had to come forth and admit it was all untrue. My personal thanks to "R", no one benefits from such bad behavior.

On a lighter note, later this week we are announcing something so incredibly cool that it will have the eCig community all "atwitter" ;-)
