Massachusetts is not exactly the most friendly place in the US to electronic cigarettes. Another town in the state is working to up the ante according to an article in Mass Live. West Springfield's health board has expanded its control over tobacco by prohibiting cigarette sales in pharmacies and electronic cigarette sales pretty much everywhere in the town. Don't worry, the board is open to changing that in the future, sort of like Cinderella's stepmother was willing to let her go to the ball if she did all her chores.

Let that sink in, cigarette sales are only banned in pharmacies (we'll leave the argument for telling a retailer what legal products they may carry) while electronic cigarettes are banned, period. The FDA does regulate cigarettes, but doesn't really approve them. They only approve drugs, other stuff is regulated.

The next board of health meeting will be Wednesday, January 16th @ 5:00 pm. This meeting is open to the public. Please email kcarey@casaa.org if you can attend the meeting, you do not need to speak, the more vapers I have with me the better.
