Just as important as finding the right personal vaporizer or e-liquid is finding the right tank. There’s a wide range of tanks (the component of the vapor device that holds and vaporizes the liquid). I can’t possibly cover them all here, but this list contains some of the most popular as well as some of my personal favorites.

Kanger’s ProTank line set the standard for bottom coil e-cigarette tanks. Many that followed are mere copycats. The ProTank is available in a few different sizes and styles. The big draw of the tank is the Pyrex glass tank body and replacement head system saving money on replacing burnt out coils.

Similar to the ProTank, the Nautilus tank line features a Pyrex tank and replacement heads. In addition, they have adjustable airflow to customize the vapor flow. The tanks come in a very large version, and a mini version which is the size of most other larger tanks. Many users prefer this tank to the Kanger tanks.

Innokin has a huge line of tanks available. The X1 is one of their larger tanks (though small by some standards.) Like the others in this list, the tank is constructed of Pyrex glass and has replaceable heads.
The Kayfun is a little different than the previous offerings on this part of the gift guide. This is what’s known as an RBA, or rebuildable atomizer. That means that the user has to build their own heating coils. As a result, this isn’t a great present for newer users. However, this tank is very popular among advanced users. If someone was really nice this year, you can spring for one of the genuine, limited edition Kayfun models with an all-steel body.

The iSmoka Lemo is another rebuildable tank. Unlike the Kayfun, this one comes with a prebuilt coil so it’s ready to use out of the box. However, it will still require the recipient to build their own coils eventually. The Lemo features a larger glass tank and is one of the better performing tanks I’ve reviewed.
